THIS is the first episode of "TV, The Musical!" as an episodic audio drama. It's based on the true story of the events surrounding the invention of TV (Philo Farnsworth) and the TV industry (David Sarnoff) and all the intense events and sacrifices these people and their families had to make in order to make TV real. multilayered soundscape featuring the early sounds of 20th Century America through 1969, (amazing with headphones), when the musical takes place
opens with a big number at the NYC World's Fair in 1939 featuring a male and a female barker welcoming families and individuals in to the gates by the thousands
short scenes with Pem Farnsworth (Philo's wife at age 97-98 or so) and a female journalist interviewing her taking place in the late 1990’s
the appearance of Amelia Farnsworth (an apparition of Lewis Farnsworth's first wife - he's the father of Philo Farnsworth) and Lewis who is there to milk the cows pre-dawn
ends with a bit of a reprise of “The World of Tomorrow”
