Sung by composer Ryan, this ballad gives voice to Pem Farnsworth’s heartbreak and fury. Alone on a train to Utah, she grieves her firstborn son, whose tiny coffin lies in the baggage car. Philo, pressured by the Philco team, stays behind in Philadelphia. His absence deepens her anguish and sparks a rift in their marriage, marking a turning point as love, tragedy, and ambition collide.
It's based on the true story of the events surrounding the invention of TV and the TV industry (1920's - 1969) and all the sacrifices the people (Philo Farnsworth - genius inventor - and David Sarnoff - General of RCA - and their families) made in order to make TV/video a real medium and big business.
